The Gruha Jyothi Scheme was launched by the state government of Karnataka. This scheme was launched on August 1, 2023. Through this scheme, people in Karnataka will get 200 units of free electricity. Three of the previous runner schemes, such as Kuteera Jyothi, Amrutha Jyothi, and Bhagya Jyothi, were merged to form the Gruha Jyothi Scheme. There are about2.14 crore families who will benefit from this scheme. Through this scheme, people in Karnataka can reduce their household expenditure, which will help them save money on their electricity bills. The applicant can apply for the Gruha Jyothi Scheme following the below-mentioned steps.
- Visit the Seva Sindhu Portal at sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in/index.html.
- Click on “gruha jyothi” on the homepage.
- A new page with the application form will appear on the screen:
- Fill out all requested information, such as the eskan name, account number, aadhaar number, name of the applicant, account holder address as per SCAN, etc.
- Then Click on the declaration checkbox, enter the word verification, and click on submit.
