In the super eight fixture, South Africa won the toss and invited the West Indies to bat first, batting first due West Indies lost two early wickets, but due to the strong batting displays of batsmen Kyle Mayers and Roston Chase, West Indies made 135, losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Overall, this was a poor batting show by the West Indies. Roston Chase was the highest run scorer with 52 runs, and Kyle Mayers was the second highest with 35 runs. From South Africa, Tabriz Shamsi was the leading wicket taker, taking 3 wickets in 4 overs and giving away only 27 runs. The West Indies gave a target of 136 to South Africa in 20 overs.
